Sicily, 19 June 1938: The Bongiorno family celebrates the birth of their son Guiseppe
Pepé. The family continues to grow until it is blessed with 9 children, 5 sons and 4 daughters. The people of the village Favara live primarily off what nature has to offer. Just about everything is prepared at home.
In 1965 Pepé decides to seek out a career in Belgium, which becomes his new homeland.
In 1969 Pepé joins Ada Aielli, the love of his life, in holy matrimony.
6 January 1970 – the day of the epiphany of the Christ - Pepé is thrilled. His son, Vincenzo Bongiorno, is born.
30 October, 1998: The Bongiorno family says goodbye to a very special paterfamilias. Pepé’s warnth lives on in hearts of many...
28 December, 2000 marks the date of birth of Pepé’s first male grandchild, Giosue Guiseppe Bongiorno.
On 23 March, 2004 there’s yet another reason for celebration. Giosue gets a little brother, Simone.
19 August, 2009 marks the day that Vincenzo Bongiorno etablishes Bongiorno ltd.
Bongiorno produces its first Limocello della campagna in 2012. It immediately becomes a top product!
In 2013, the seductive sweet liqueur of wild forest strawberries, Fragoline di bosco is introduced.
In February of 2016 Bongiorno brings Don Pepé, a devine liqueur made from Sicilian bloodoranges, to the Belgian market after a development period of 18 months.
Don Pepé is introduced to press and public on the 16th of November.
In April 2018, the entire product line was labeled with the unique
Art of Bongiorno corporate identity.
